Pigs will be butchered in the fall and spring. Pigs are generally about 115 lb/ half. You can also purchase a whole pig for $5.00/lb (0.5/lb saving!)
Half a pig is about 100 lb of meat (when hanging at the butcher shop). You will get to choose the cuts you want options include:
spare ribs riblets
pork chops cutlets
sausage (all types) ground pork
bacon shoulder roast
smoked hocks soup bones
organs can be kept too (kidneys, heart, skin, tongue, tail, head, ears, lard).
